An odd egg?

No, not a description of me from Tricia. As we were taking a walk on the headland opposite our house, Tricia came across this egg on the moor. It was intact but presumably was left over from last Summer as there were no gulls - it is a Herring Gull's egg I think - anywhere near us.
We were walking around looking at the various archaeological sites there - most recorded already but not all I think. We timed our walk well to get back just before the rain and hail set in.
