Let there be Light!
Living in this area we are blessed (!) with frequent power cuts. My grandaughters were aware of this and provided very appropriate and suitable presents at Christmas - nite lights.
There was a power cut at 9 p.m. the power came back at 10 p.m. and went again at 10.06. However, things were OK here at No.5 because of this little light of mine. The gadget came on, I picked up the little torch inside it and found my evening tablets in the darkened kitchen and decided, with no TV , no computer and even no electric blanket, I would still go straight to bed.
The provision of a second gadget, which was in my hall, allowed me sufficient light to go to the bathroom then light me to bed. I had half-expected Clickychick , who was out for the night, might call on her way home, when she realised I was in darkness.
I was correct, she did call to check on things but I was, by then, fast asleep!
