Pre-birthday cake

In celebration of commemorating the magical day of my birth thirty seven years ago on Sunday, Sister Flowerpower baked me this marvelous cake and brought it up today. As my actual birthday is on Sunday and she will be heading off on Monday, she thought it wise to start eating it today. I did not disagree. She decorated it beautifully with musical notes to highlight my love of singing. It was a lovely surprise.

I also enjoyed pre-birthday celebrations at work today and had cake at break time with everyone in the humanities department. They are a lovely bunch.

I'm so relieved it's half term. Time to collapse and enjoy spending some time with Sister FP.
