Door to No-where

My colleague decided to buy this door, which he has hung on a wall in the house. It is a traditional wooden door from the Timbuktu region he was told. The imagery is interesting because, in some ways, the ancient Egyptian-style figures seem out of place in West Africa. I'm sure someone will explain someday what they all mean.
