A glimpse of sunshine
It was a fairly indifferent day as regards the weather - wind and rain most of the time and we ended the walk with horizontal hail lashing our faces - it was painful, I had to shield my face with my hand!
However, for one brief moment the sun came out and I got this blip. In this view you can see the Eildons - the three iconic hills above Melrose which you can see from many points in the Scottish Borders. The Romans had a large camp outside Melrose which was called Trimontium - three hills.
Although the weather wasn't up to much we finished up with tea and cake at the Caberston Cafe in Walkerburn, so it was all worth it!
