Mediaeval Leith

This unprepossessing collection of objects is from the spoil-heaps of various digs around Leith.
On the bottom is a native oyster shell (Ostrea edulis). The Forth oysterbeds have been extinct for 50 years, but just recently some wild oysters have been found. They used to be a staple food (I've seen middens full of oystershells, 50 cm deep and covering 20 square metres) and they were exported from Leith all over Europe. It's brilliant that they're back =^)

Good news this weekend
1) The mighty Pars beat the Wee Team in the Fife derby :) Even better, we won with a last minute goal =D
2) DavidH beat Goliath (my pecs and abs look almost exactly the same) ;^)
3) M, as well as being a musician, a songwriter, a gardener, a mathematician, an excellent cook and a knitter, is also a BLIPPER!!!

On a more important note: To Remember
