This isn't a balloon

It's the moon. If I've read the Big Boy's Book of the Moon properly the distinctive crater bottom right, the one that looks like the top of an orange, is Tycho Crater. the small darker area top middle is the Sea of Serenity and immediately to the right and slightly lower, the dark blob of roughly the same size, is Mare Tranquillitatis - the Sea of Tranquillity. In 1965 a space craft was crashed into this area after taking and transmitting images of the moon's surface. Four years later Neil and Buzz landed here and went for a stroll.

The title doesn't just relate to yesterdays blip of course - you'll either know or you won't but I'm betting that many are just too young.
