Nulland shaft
Shaft Nulland belonged to the former Domaniale mine in Kerkrade.
The 349 m deep ventilation shaft was in 1907 laid out by the Aachen-Maastrichtsche Railway-Society, then the operator of the Domaniale Mine. It was the fourth shaft in the concession area of the coal mine, in addition to the Willem Neulander shaft and air shaft on Beerenbosch. It took a lot of trouble getting the shaft builders the 40 meter thick coating of stone and earth, but when they were once through the rest of the work went smoothly. Within a year, the 60 metres floor and in 1909 the 150 meters were ready.
Initially the shaft did only service as absorbed air shaft.
