A Flurry of Starlings

Caught sight of a flock of starlings o0n the ground, among the sheep.

Stopped the car, wound down the front passenger window. Picked up the camera from the front seat — already switched on and ISO set to 800, White Balance to cloudy shade. Checked rear mirror of car for anything coming (narrow country lane). No time for more, they were already on the move from the ground. Couldn't choose continuous or a high speed. Only one attempt available before they were out of frame. Focussed. Blipped.

Got something of the sense of movement I wanted, at the expense of crispness.
