The Scream

Woken with a vivid dream this morning, something in the air - something more than just cooked breakfast!

Final day of the Treasurers course, which starts with meeting for worship before we hurl ourselves "once more unto the breach". Guess what, more book-keeping and year end accounts! This time for Charity Commissioners and Examiners inspection. in other words, how to get it right.

By lunchtime my brains are scrambled with accruals, acting as agent and fund transfers. It seemed to make sense yesterday, but actually doing the reports from scratch is a different matter. Not only that, there isn't just one way of doing it.....

A relaxing lunch restores the balance and I'm ready by the afternoon to delve into the spreadsheets to assist in the record keeping. A slightly shorter session thankfully, and one in which we get to quiz the tutor.

By finish at 4pm I'm ready for a rest, and restored by a walk in the grounds I also manage to get my photo for the day. It seemed to sum up the way I felt at the end of it all!

I'd planned to unwind tonight in preparation for my return home tomorrow, so headed off for a relaxing supper. Most of the "Treasurers" had left, so I expected it to be fairly quiet meal.

R invited me to join her; I'd met her on Saturday watching the rugby. She had a couple of days free in between her meetings she'd told me, and was planning to relax at Woodbrooke in between. But she was now wearing a badge titled "Dreaming for...." . Synchronicity or what, I think to myself, after my dream this morning. I then find that there are a couple of others from the course at the table, together with the tutors leading it. They invite me to join them, and more people arrive and join the refrain, laughing and giggling at my predicament. I'd hoped to visit K2 in Warwick tomorrow, but she had a trip to London so wasn't available. I knew nothing about the course content, except that it was due to begin in about 20 minutes. My thought was that I was being called, so decided to respond. I had a room for tonight, but not tomorrow [the course lasts until Tuesday lunchtime]. A quick check with reception was encouraging, so I phoned K to explain. "Ok, see you when I see you" was the response. Everything is falling into place, it seems all is prepared for me, so I join the introductory session of the course - I follow the Dream.

It's getting interesting...
