Following on from yesterday, another Hydrangea especially for Walking Wombat1. Coincidentally I blipped blue Hydrangeas exactly one month ago on 13th January, but they had been helped along on an annual diet of aluminium sulphate. This is H. Gentian & is a newer one with me; will always remain blue with out the A. S. treatment. I firmly believe all gardens should have lots of blue in them.

Blow the bugle & beat the drum, it's my 82nd birthday today !! I've had a wonderful day. American friends took me out to lunch to a little restaurant on Golf Course Road. All rather posh, where they use nasturtium flowers, and where the oxygen you've inhaled during your time there, is added to the bill.

As one of my lovely birthday cards said:
"COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS, AND NOT THE CANDLES " so I think that is a nice note to go out on. I do that every day.
