Early starts for creativity

I was on the road driving through the rain and wind at 6.30 this morning, driving to a new experience, a new challenge and to hopefully learn a new skill and as I passed over the Severn bridge, the beautiful lines of which I marvel at every time I cross it, the morning light started to appear through the clouds and briefly shine over the horizon before the new collection of storm clouds filled the sky and I managed to take this shot through my car windscreen.

Today was a lovely day a great day of creating, exploring and expressing visually the thoughts that I have in my head. At first it felt strange to be exploring my thoughts in such an open forum and having children in the group made that a little more difficult. When I thought about why this was so it wasn't because I think they shouldn't be there but because our conversations were not as therapeutic in nature but on the other hand the presence of these children was amazing and that they were able to express themselves so easily was inspiring to all of us who sometimes struggle with expressing ourselves through creativity was a real inspiration. Maybe we should all be more like children sometimes.

Once I started creating my art journal pieces I got lost in what I was trying to create, using the methods I learnt I was able to create a "space" on paper and work from there to create my pages of my therapeutic book.
