Finally we are on skis!
The snow is still pouring out of the sky and the world is grey with reduced visibility but snow is always beautiful.
This avalanche came down from a gully in the steep slopes you can see in the background. It flowed a fair way over the not-so-steep ground before coming to a rest a few meters over the ski run. It's a mixture of snow and the broken trees it picked up on it's journey.
This is one of the reasons the slopes were mostly closed yesterday and a good example of why it's best not to ignore those "Ski run closed" signs.
