Sea Urchin

Felt flat at college today. A combination of work piling up and finding it difficult to adjust to a different style of teaching. Everyone seems to be feeling the pinch, so I guess I am not alone.

The Sam going to the party fiasco continued. He arranged to be picked up by a friend not far from the cottage, so I dropped him off only to hear a knock at the door about 10 minutes later. His friend had missed his bus and wasn't home yet. Some serious texting followed as Sam tried to work out how he was going to get to the party without disclosing the location to Nick and I. Obviously I am far too embarrassing to A. be introduced to any of his friends and B. drop him off at a party without first checking to see if any responsible adults are present (OK I might do that.) In the end I picked up his friend in Haddington and dropped them both off at the party where there was a HUGE bonfire raging. Driving home I tried not to think about teenagers with serious burns and went to bed. About 12.45 am there was a knock at the door. Now I am not expecting Sam home until the following morning having agreed that he can stay over and immediately I am imagining serious burns again.

It is Sam. The party was boring and he is going to bed.
And relax.
