Duck season

I've seen this pair of ducks three times this week in the empty lots across the street from me.
Today was the first time I had the chance to photograph them. I saw them flying in and making a splash landing in a small puddle in the back of one of the lots.
I'd never seen ducks in my residential neighborhood before today. I've seen flocks of egrets, but no ducks.
