Baby Bird flies the nest

This is Baby Bird with Vicky her foster mum, one of the great nurses I work with. Bird was found by a little girl at my daughters school 4 weeks ago. She was so thin, really dirty, had fleas and ticks and was just lovely and affectionate.

Vicky had just remarked that morning that her boyfriend had said how come she hadn't brought any waifs and strays home with her. We named her Bird as Vicky says it fantastically in her Irish accent! Unfortunately Bird has too much energy for Vicky's flat and though she is much loved it was felt she needed a home with a garden.

Out of the blue last week a very kind, old client of ours rang asking if we knew of a young friendly female neutered cat to keep him company. It seemed to be too good to be true, Vicky spoke to him and gave him the seal of approval. Today we neutered Bird and at the weekend Vicky will take him over to the new home.
