Winter Reflections...
Looking on the positive side of this crazy weather, today's torrential rain did provide me with a nice big puddle, which in turn gave off this reflection when the sun came out briefly this afternoon!
On the not-so-positive side of things, we've lost another garden fence panel in the winds that were measured at 60-70 mph this lunchtime. It's leaning at 45 degrees and is only being held up by the plants on our side of the fence; the Camelia and two Cydonia Japonica are in danger of being pulled out of the ground.
So what do you do on a day like today? Well first of all you tidy out a kitchen cupboard and find an out-of-date mix for Skillingsboller (cinnamon buns) that you brought back from Norway four years ago. Then you make and bake the buns, and are amazed that the dried yeast still works. And finally you hunker down in front of the tv and revel in the Winter Olympics, whilst munching your way through a pile of 24 Skillingsboller!!
