Sochi

The Sochi Winter Olympics are in full swing and are great to watch.

It is good to see that Ski Jumping for women has been included for the first time, that UK has won its first medal on snow (Jenny Jones) and that Claire Balding and team are doing such a good job presenting the events.

I bought these Russian dolls on a trip to St Petersburg a few years ago.

The Met Office have issued a Red Warning for Wales and the NW. It is blowing a gale and predictions are that winds will reach 100 MPH. Let's hope there is not too much damage. I should have gone to a meeting in Barrow this evening but advice is not to travel unless essential, which it is not.
