Popping colour

Good morning at photographic class, going through aperture priority AGAIN. Still not sinking in but will practice.

Weather appalling this afternoon, really windy, rain, hail, thunder and lightning. Poor birds battling in for food. I've had to refill the sunflower seed feeder. More chaffinches coming in for the sunflower seed the tits are chucking around. Some of the chaffinches have white, fluffy legs, indicating leg cancer, which will kill them. Sad.

I wanted to practice popping colour and have managed after a fashion but the instructions I followed on a DVD didn't work for me, so I had to find my own way around it. It's not brilliant, but it's better than photographing the rain.
