Snow soon turning to rain.

Starting mainly dry then sleet and snow spreading up from the south. Snow soon turning to rain on low ground but further moderate snowfalls higher areas especially North Argyll. Turning showery later. Strengthening southeast winds, coastal gales but easing later.
