Lichen

I took this photograph with my 40mm lens this morning when the sun was shining (7.45am), I'm so glad I did as the weather has been atrocious since mid morning. I particularly liked the textures, shapes and vivid colours on this lichen which is growing on the walnut trees.

I arrived back this afternoon at 4.00 and noticed the gales have snapped my lovely old greengage tree in half, it was an old variety and the fruit were absolutely delicious, if you could get them before the wasps did.
