Mother and child

Popped into Kelvingrove art gallery in Glasgow this wet, cold and dreich day. It's an old friend. Along with the Mitchell library I came here looking for another side to life as a young woman.
This sculpture really caught my attention. It portrays something of how a mother feels with her child in her arms. I love the colour of the stone.
At 6, I'm meeting the Scotsman for a memorial service in the university chapel for a dear friend.
