No data!?

So, this is bad...

One of the drives in our network attached storage failed. Normally this wouldn't be a big deal, as I just need to swap out the dead drive for a working one and hey presto everything is hunky dory.

For some reason I'm not even getting that option, the drive is showing as empty... ALL of our photos, ALL of our documents, TV and music... Gone?

After many hours of tinkering I finally managed to get access to the drive and all the files. Now begins the long arduous task of backing up everything onto another drive. At over 4 terabytes of data, it could take a while.

Let's just hope that the other drives hold out until then.
