Storm passing
On my way home from Sainsbury's of all places, and a massive snow storm hit - and then passed through as I was driving home.
That's sometimes the best time to get good shots - and this was one of those times. Just amazing clarity in the air, and superb light. I was really glad I'd taken my D700 with me, as a camera phone just would not have hacked this.
The windmill supplies power to a local cheese manufacturer. I am not a great fan of wind turbine farms, as I think they are about as useful and as sensible as a Yes vote for Scottish Independence, but on an individual level - maybe they're ok.
There are plans to cover the main ridge line of Shetland with huge wind turbines which will ruin the mood and look of those islands forever - or at least until we realise what a folly the whole damn thing was and rip them down.
Politics in amongst photography? It's all here folks :-)
