Annual leave bliss

Today was a pretty good day, lazy morning in a bed full of cuddles, up and ready just in time for a long and unusually child free lunch and then out for the evening with the bf.

In the middle of all that I managed to include a short train trip to pick up my car which had been high jacked and taken to another town but what a lovely opportunity it was to just sit back and enjoy the ride. It's a journey I haven't done for a long long time and I just loved the ever present moody cloud splattered sky and it's equally moody effect it reflects onto the sea of the estuary. Even the mud spray on the windows of the carriage didn't spoil the views which were so enveloping that I couldn't keep my eyes away from looking out of the water.

With the onslaught of the recent stormy weather our relationship with the landscape has been affected and the disappointment many people now feel in their natural environment makes me wonder if humans can actually live in harmony with their natural environment. Looking out of that carriage window I was mesmerised by the beauty of the sun reflecting on the water and wondered if one day I'll be able to live close enough to the sea and to live in tune with it's natural rhythms . Afterall "The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams."
Eleanor Roosevelt so you just never know what's just around the corner
