The Edge of the Wold

Smile

Gus smiling down on me from the top of the Helm. Well, not me exactly, he was keeping a keen eye on Rowan and looking out for the ball (hidden in my pocket).

After a grey, wet morning it was unexpectedly bright and blue at lunchtime, just in time for a walk with the collies who were competing happily for the ball.

I drove home through a hailstorm that coated the road white. We couldn't complain our weather lacked variety. Meanwhile the blame game about the floods carries on, why do we British have to find someone to blame? The ultimate blame lies with rainfall that has broken all records, and it just keeps coming. The jet stream is further south than it should be, tracking a succession of storms in across southern England.
