Flat, Stiff and Inexpressive

Today was unlike yesterday, full of holdups, bad weather and similar news, so when I came across this image I thought this is the one for blip today.

It's a Mark Rothco painting, one from the Subway Series-this isn't the most famous one in that series but I like it because whilst the people are waiting for their train they're engaged in other activity. 'I think of my pictures as dramas: the shapes in the pictures are the performers.'

I think we had one or two too many performers today-more drama than ideas or plans.
