Bar NAMA

NAMA is the National Asset Management Agency.

Our Finance Minister tells us it'll solve all our recessionary woes.

It's hugely controversial.

It's impossible to be in company these days without 'NAMA' finding its way into the conversation (my eyes glaze over and I switch off when I hear it).

I really have no idea what it's all about (and suspect the FInance Minister doesn't either).

I'm amazed at how quickly something like this becomes common currency (boom, boom!), but I never would have thought that someone would go to the extent of naming a bar after it!
