Faded glory

Papery petals
Softened and mottled by rain
Drained of colour
Linger
Translucent and veined
In faded glory
Days nearly over.

Desperate day for blipping so resorted to the cold, sodden garden for inspiration and my trusty hydrangeas helped out. I like this in b/w with all the vein tracery. It still held much of its colour in acid . Out at a play tonight so will catch up tomorrow.
