Taught two seminars on Raymond Williams, cultural materialism and Dickens' Great Expectations today. The squirrels on the campus were full of bounce; I love watching them scampering about in the sunshine. I think the students could do with some of their energy...

In other news, plans to visit Birmingham's new library next week...eeeps! Am practically salivating *book geek*...cannot wait!
