A Day Worth Recording

Generations

This is something of a treasured possession even though I don't know the detail of it's origin. It was an award my father was given and occupied a prime place on the mantlepiece at home. I've always liked it.

Dad was a keen cricketer; a sport I was involved with during my youth but not one that has passed down the generations. Something a little sad about that, or maybe just a sadness that life for us doesn't allow for lazy summer Sundays at the match.

Dad died some 15 years ago but I feel he's looking down, proud of, if perplexed by, the aims and achievements of the cheeseminors.
