Pineapple Lily (Eucomis)

Unusual bulbous plant grows in clumps to 60cm tall.Large cyclindrical flower spikes are made up of masses of greenish-white petals tipped with lilac. the flowers are excellent for cutting and last for weeks. plants like open sunlight and are best left undisturbed for several years. got these from a plant nursery I worked at years ago, it always flowers and more profusely when i water it.
