Sunset over the Beauly Firth, from the old slipway at North Kessock, on the Black Isle.
Another day of driving to North Kessock, and walking over to work in Inverness. Whilst on the return walk, I saw the colours developing in the sky, so the later part the walk turned in to a run. Those colours don't last long. It had been all bright yellow and fiery a few minutes before this.
After taking this shot I decide to move over to the edge of the slipway, so as to get the reflection of the boat's mast, fully in the shot. Slipway, with the emphasis on 'slip', is the quite correct. I had to tread very warily. Took some shots, but the red sky had faded dramatically in the minute or so I took to 'slip' over there.
Oh well, this one will have to do as the day's Blip.
