Datchet floods 3

This was the sorry scene early today in Datchet Green. Overnight the floodwater spread from the golf course and flooded the railway line and the village centre. Also impassable were roads to Eton, Slough, Horton and Old Windsor. By this evening the floodwaters had spread further and had totally cut off the route through the Green.

The Thames is in full spate from Cookham through to Staines and probably further.

At least the village is still just about passable to bikes. We'll see what tomorrow holds.
