I removed both camera-strap-adorning badges from my camera-bags' straps before going on holiday, partly to avoid any risk of being suspected of attempting to smuggle a sharp and pointy pin through airport security and partly to avoid losing the less losable of the two anywhere where it would be extremely difficult to attempt to find it again. I haven't replaced them yet as both already show signs of stress and the design of these perpendicular-pin two-piece things has always seemed a bit fine-for-suit-lapel-but-unsuited-to-other-clothings. Strictly speaking, a safer place would be in some form of box in some form of larger box in some sort of cupboard, but tracking items in such places is generally quite problematic. Seeing as this weekend is unlikely to be spent installing skirting board (seeing as it needs to be ordered first) I might consider getting round to poking through a few of the boxes considered more likely to contain complete shite in order to perhaps find some things to throw away or charity-shop. The freed boxes can then be used to sort out things which are to be kept but sneaked into the parent-loft next month.
