Berberis

Another day of not much photography. Showers were coming through regularly, so I didn't get out on the bike and I spent most of the morning sorting out the recyling and cleaning. I did manage to get out for a short time this afternoon - a bit of pond maintainence (fishing fallen leaves out) and took this shot of the berberis blossom, which is out remarkably early.

Normally, we would be sitting in the warm spring sunshine on the garden seat (which is now at the tip) admiring the blossom. Not much chance of doing that at the moment, even if we still had the seat!

Sadly, there is a lot more rain to come this week.

No sign of the frogs in the pond - it was much colder today and they were staying down in the deeper water where it's a bit warmer. I also had to chase a cat off which was lurking around the edges of the pond. Two or three of them seem to have noticed the frogs and will sit at the edge of the pond - although they don't stay long when they hear the back door open.

I shall try and check regularly.
