soaking up some sun

It was a sunny sweet day with just the odd shower. It was nice to be at home and even to do a bit in the garden.

These snowdrops have been sitting in a lake of water for some days though it hasn't seemed to bother them. Today the water subsided enough to get near them.
They are about the only thing doing well out there, not surprisingly. Buds are swelling on some things but there are no daffodils yet, or crocuses, which are normally going strong by now.

The brief respite is now over, rain lashes the windows again and I can hear the wind over the radio.
There is yet another big storm on its way.
