Making another batch of chilli jam

This stuff is addictive.

150g red pepper, cut into chunks
150g red chillies, deseeded and cut in half

Whizzed in a processor til fine red flecks

1 kg jam sugar
600ml cider vinegar

Dissolve sugar in vinegar by slowly heating, apparently not stirring.

When dissolved add pepper mix, bring to boil and boil rapidly for 10 minutes.

Remove from heat and stand for 40 minutes to thicken.

Put into sterilised jars and enjoy. Makes 6 small jars.

That was this afternoon's job. We went swimming early on then lots of little jobs before going to what is supposed to be my last session if physio at the hospital. Rain again, but spectacular skies at sunset, which try as I might I couldn't capture well enough.
