In Safe Hands.

Started a 'Managing Safely' course - day 1 of 4. Wow - it's like being back at school. 8hrs today learning about how to assess hazards and the risks that they pose to protect not only employees but also businesses. An exam awaits and confirms whether I can train professionals on subjects such as risk assessments, safety legislation & managerial responsibilities. Amongst other things I've learnt today is that the U.K has on average 30,000 workers that are injured at work each year and that we lose 33 million days due to workplace injuries - incredible. It is important & serious subject for sure. I shall go to sleep tonight knowing that I am my own Health & Safety officer at all times.
