Primula Vulgaria - Primrose

A centre of the primrose, apparently there are two types of flower head to this plant, this one is called a 'pin eyed flower' the other is called a 'thrum eyed flower'. The 'pin' is quite obvious in this one.
This particular plant is quite pale but I always think that primrose yellow is synonymous with the beginning of spring.
This little plant was under water at the weekend but the river levels have reduced considerably and no harm was done. More than can be said for those unfortunate people living in the south west, they've suffered enough damage to last a lifetime.
