Beinn Alligin
The day started bright and clear, but by the time we got onto the ridge the wind was definitely getting stronger. By the time we got to the three 'Horns of Alligin' the wind was whipping hail in our faces but not enough to obscure the route. I took a look at the spin drift and decided that the traversing balcony path was probably a wiser choice for me. So I left my three colleagues to a grade one winter scramble and got back to the car a full hour before them.
Pasta and wine for tea.
We stayed at a place called 'Mol Mor' one of the NTS base camps. The hot water was scalding, the beds were clean and comfy, the drying room was properly equipped and warm. It was just a shame that the showers were akin to standing under someone pissing.
