Aint no Mountain High enough.

It was a beautiful morning so today we decided to go out for a walk early in case it clouded over. We went up to the woods on Feddon Hill. Driven by so many times and have never actually stopped, it's just 2 minutes up the road.
As we got out of the car we could hear plenty of birds singing. A woodpecker was hammering so a sure sicn that Spring is just round the corner. There is a nature area with piles of logs , a camp area with a fire pit, ideal for with Brownies for some singing and nature crafts.
On the path there were wood sculptures including a little wooden man fishing, some deer , toadstools and plenty of places to sit.
The views around the edge were amazing and we could see right to the Point and over to the hills beyond, Fort George showed up well and you could see the Burghead Coastline. The field had horses in, including a Shetland pony. Some flocks of birds were drinking from the puddles.
Further on we could see the Mountains in the distance covered in snow. Several wonderful houses were dotted across the landscape. One farm had several geese honking away when they saw the farmer. He waved at us and smiled :) It was such a lovely walk and we will return in the Spring with a picnic.

It's still sunny now at 3 .10 pm so hopefully there will be nice set.
