Fishing Derby Weekend

This is a typical scene that appears when the fishing derby is about to take place. Villages pop up all over the lakes in and around the Lakes Region of New Hampshire.
Many people go all out to have all the comforts of home, right inside their "bob house" Some have a small kitchen set up, with sleeping quarters, heat and TV. One bob house was making "home brewed beer" and handing it out to fellow fishermen.
People come from all over New England to take part in the event. Money prizes are given for the biggest fish in each category. Even if your fish doesn't make the "board", you are pretty much guaranteed a weekend of fun!

This is an annual event, sponsored by the Meredith Rotary Club.
I think this year it was given a "10"! Perfect weather, thousands of fisherman and women and lots of fish!
