Waxwing watch

Very exciting day, we saw waxwings! Four fruitless drives out to East Lothian later, and finally they arrive - and on our doorstep. I'm not going to lie - one of the reasons for moving to this part of town was the good waxwing habitat, who can deny - it's such a draw. I actually got the call while in the middle of brunch on the other side of town with a friend, and we downed tools in order that I could rush home, collect the binoculars and the camera, and commence our search. And how lucky we were. 7 beautiful waxwings. Only a month later than we saw them last year. Most fabulous.
