Glimpses of Winter

I set out on a treacherous adventure this morning back in Portland. After about eight inches of snowfall we got a dose of rain that froze over all the snow. Everything was encrusted in an icy glaze, and walking was precarious. I was more worried about my camera than my body, and I did remain upright, though I'm sure I missed a lot of good shots while concentrating on walking instead of the beauty around me. I'm so grateful for this beautiful winter wonderland outside our window. It won't be here tomorrow as heavy rains and warm temperatures are due for the rest of the week!
