Flood survivor

Venturing into the garden as it was not raining and did lots of tidying up of debris deposited when the stream rose alarmingly. After cutting and pruning I spotted these valiant little hellebores(Nigra, as the root is black) and cut off the leaves so they could get more light. They spent sometime underwater which hasn't diminished them at all. Nature is resilient!
