I'm very fortunate to have two daughters who are not only photogenic, but also infinitely (well - almost infinitely!) patient with their father taking ages to fiddle with camera settings etc.
Today I was trying to get a particular black & white "look"; I used natural light. a high ISO setting, and a yellow (digital) filter. I was quite pleased with the results, but one thing I found a bit problematic was that the yellow filter darkened the girls' eyes. (Not as much as the red filter I experimented with earlier, but still making them unnaturally dark.)
I got around that by masking their irises while applying the filter. Does anyone have any other tips for how to handle that?
