'Sensing Spaces'

Eight architects were asked to contribute to this exhibition at the Royal Academy, and it is a wonderfully varied show - as much sculpture as architecture. This photo is taken on a platform formed on top of three columns each of which contains a spiral staircase. The structure is wood, with a lovely cladding of narrow strips. You are close to the ceiling here, being able to see clearly some of the gallery's original architecture and design close at hand.
