Day 1 of our city break

Waiting for our first train to London we warmed ourselves with a hot chocolate.

Once in London, navigating the underground and hopping onto another train to Watford, it was just a short walk to the hotel. We checked in and headed back into the city to check out Harrods and Hamleys toy store.

A very weary family arrived back at the hotel, changed rooms (first was drafty and cold) and enjoyed a hearty meal in the hotel restaurant, before taking a Costa hot chocolate nightcap and a very good night's sleep (unusually for me by 9.30 I was spark out)
