Very disturbing news from Copenhagen Zoo today, and the reason why I am never going to visit a zoo again:

Marius the Giraffe

This isn't a one-off incident either, Longleat Safari Park killed six healthy lions last month - a lion, lioness and their four cubs - in order to control numbers.
